A BOOK OF NONSENSE

Description

8th edition with many new pictures and verses. No date but with a dedication page dated 1862. Bound in the original printed paper covered boards. Boards worn, darkened and rubbed with some loss to the edges. The original cloth spine is present but is also worn and rubbed with some loss and split at the joints. Some spotting to end papers but the main text block is generally clean and bright. Binding shaken and some pages loose. Small embossed stamp to the free front end paper. Apparently lacking plate 86 but as this is also missing from the British Library copy it may simply be a printer's error. There are also two copies of plate 20 present which are identical. A worn and well-used copy as often but still with all its main original features as issued.
