A Standard Of Behaviour : Signed By The Author

The First UK printing published by Hutchinson, London in 1958. The BOOK is in near Fine condition. A hint of toning and spotting to the text-block and end-papers. Free from inscriptions and erasures. The WRAPPER is complete and is in Very Good++ or better condition. Only light fading of the pink colouring to the spine. Minor edge-wear with a few small closed tears. Some light tape reinforcement to the edges and spine to the verso (which does not show through to the front). The Freda Nicholls wrapper design looks very striking in the removable Brodart archival cover. The book has been signed by the author (without dedication) to the title page. The author's extremely scarce first book and only the first we have handled with such attributes. Collectible.
