DescriptionSecond Impression, WITH AUTHORIAL INSCRIPTION. 8vo. Orange cloth, spine lettered in gilt. Top edge orange. Bruising to extremities, bump to top of bottom board. Offsetting to illustrated endpapers, a few fox spots. Authorial inscription to half-title in blue pen: “To Mary Stewart with all good wishes from/ another Philhellene/ Dilys Powell”. Else, clean, tight and bright. In the original dust jacket: spine sunned, edgewear, a little chipping to spine ends, a few light marks to panels. Still, a pleasing dedication copy of Powell’s Greek travelogue.
