This is a 1st edition H/Bk copy of the “Commemorative Record of the Scottish National Demonstration in honour of The Right Honourable Arthur James Balfour, MP Chief Secretary for Ireland” compiled by Alfred Woodrow Sansome and published by William Blackwood, Edinburgh and London in 1890. This was held in Waverley Market, Edinburgh on 4th and 5th December 1889. The book has 160 pages including a list of the ladies who occupied seats in the galleries on the occasion of the banquet and the gentlemen who were at the banquet. The book is bound in cream cloth which is grubby and the boards have bevelled edges. The page edges are gilded at the top. Also included is an invitation to the event.
