Controlled Projection: A standard experimental procedure

Description

FIRST EDITION. 4to. B/w and colour illustrations, with portfolio pouch to rear (fully separated at edges) + three stapled sketches booklets (sketches-only, female and male questionnaires) with paper advertisement band laid in. Green cloth, gilt lettering to upper board (faded). Shabby, tanned edges, red pen mark to fore-edge. ‘Civil Service Comm’ stamp to front pastedown and title page. Toned, a few closed tears. Spine cracked and cracking in several places, but binding holding firm. Else, clean. Sketches booklets: staples rusted, with small amount of staining in the two questionnaire booklets, a little toned and a few finger marks; small nick to corner of one. Else, all clean. Comprising an introduction and subsequent reflection on the experimental methodology, plus case studies based on a range of children’s and adults’ answers and sketches; the effects of war and poverty run through all the pen portraits. A good copy of a fascinating early psychological kit previously owned by the Civil Service Commission. Rare.
