Edition not stated, but assumed first thus. Illustrated by Arthur Hughes. Very good in elaborately tooled blue boards (rather than the usual red) with gilt decoration to the boards and spine. Loose frontispiece. Inscription to front free endpaper dated 1865, suggesting this is an early copy.
