William Bankier (1870-1949), otherwise known as Apollo, the Scottish Hercules and the self-styled challenger to another strongman of the day Eugen Sandow. Endpapers very browned with offsetting, name in ink to front; inscription and address in pencil to recto of frontispiece; pages foxed and dusty thoughout with some occasional grubbiness.
