Oracles : The Biography Of An Art

The First UK printing published by The Society for the Propagation of Religious Truth, Boleskine, Foyers, Inverness in 1905. The BOOK is in Very Good ++ condition. Original Wraps in dark-green wrappers with bright lettering along the spine with just a small rub to the letter 'E' in the word 'Crowley'. Small loss of the wrapper at the spine ends (see images) and a little edge wear but far less than usually encountered. Original deckled edges slightly toned. Light spotting to the prelims page edges otherwise clean. Free from inscriptions and erasures. The final page (the subscription page to 'The Works of Aleister Crowley') is firmly in place and showing just approximately a third separation from its perforation. Publisher's adverts to the rear are present. The binding remains tight and the book is protected in a loose Mylar archival cover. 'Unpublished fragments of the work of Alesteir Crowley with explanatory notes by R.P. Lester and the author'. A very scarce early Crowley title. Collectible.
