Privately printed for the author, Hexham, 1888, limited edition of 400 copies (this no 124). Maroon half leather binding with brown cloth boards. Title in gilt to spine. Large gilt image of St Wilfrid to front board.Teg. Elephant Folio, 22.25ins x 15.5ins, [x] (comprising half title, coloured heraldic title page, title page [printed in red and black], list of subscribers, preface and illustration of the Lechman Chantry), 62pp text, 63pp plates (numered 1-60 but with 3 additional plates 39a, 46a and 52a). Loosely inserted is a prospectus for the book and an autograph letter signed by the author. Internally there is a closed tear to the top of the first blank page and to the half title page. Externally there has been an old repair using tape to the the top and bottom of the spine. Minor scratches to the front board. Externally G+, Internally VG. Nb very heavy book, very expensive to post outside of the UK.
