(1814) Coloured frontispiece, [4] + 96pp + 40 plates. Small folio, (10.5 x 14"). Title, table of contents and text in English and French. Contains 41 hand coloured aquatint plates. by R. & D. Havell after George Walker. Contemporary half calf and with original worn marbled boards and end papers. Overall a fine clean copy.Very fine plates showing ordinary working people. The plate of the Collier is important as in the background it depicts the first printed representation of a steam engine locomotive.
