The End Of Laissez-Faire : With The Scarce Original Wrapper

The First UK printing published by The Hogarth Press in 1926. The Book is in near Fine condition. Only 2000 copies printed. The correct first issue with blue boards & grey cloth (Woolmer 1997). Light pushing at the spine ends with a little fading to the board edges. Light spotting to the text-block and prelims but less than usually encountered. Mild offsetting to the end-papers. The paper label to the spine is complete and clean. Free from inscriptions and bookplates. The scarce WRAPPER is complete and is in Very Good++ or better condition. Very mild edge wear with a very small area of loss to the lower rear spine fold. Light toning to the spine but far less than usually encountered. A very light superficial rubbed area to the front cover. The wrapper looks very attractive in the removable Brodart archival cover. The first edition of the author's Sidney Ball Lecture delivered at Oxford, 1924. Extremely scarce with only 2 copies having appeared at auction with 'fair' wrappers in the last 30 years. This copy is in exceptional condition.
