Rare and collectable antiquarian and out of print books for a wide range of interests. Particular interest in the Brontes.

The Gentleman's Compleat Jockey with the Perfect Horseman and Experienc'd Farrier

A very scarce manual, published in limited numbers since 1696. Estc T73957 states the book is wrongly attributed to Adolphus Speed, the author probably being Gervase Markham. This Estc records just two UK libraries holding a copy and likewise just two in North America. Text is complete and is clear and legible. Most of the title page is missing as are the last two pages of Contents at rear. A practical manual which has been used in many conditions hence the staining, marking and creasing. A very readable item with fascinating history.
