Quarter red Morocco over black and white decorative boards from Wadsworth design. Rudolph Koch's Newland type on title page and spine has been enlarged from a copy of Genesis (Nonesuch Press, 1924) and has been bound by Smith Settle, Otley Mills, West Yorkshire. Edward Wadsworth ARA was an English artist, most famous for his close association with Vorticism. He painted, often in tempera, coastal views, abstracts, portraits and still-life. He was also an engraver on wood and copper. He moved away from the avant-garde in the 1920s, and adopted a more realistic style. Wadsworth was a member of Unit One (Wiki). Scarce.
