Gilt borders to front and rear boards. Embossed decoration to corners, no dustjacket. Aeg. Gilt inner dentelles. 10.25ins x 7.25ins, marbled endpapers, viii, 410pp plus frontis plate, additional illustrated title page, large folding genealogical table and 2 plates. Also three groundplans within the text. Previous owners name to verso of front free endpaper. Genealogical table has old tape repair to rear and is a bit creased. Overall a VG copy of a fairly scarce title.
