Described by their writer as 'fragmentary, very incomplete & nothing like a revision or correction of Jamieson's work' they nonetheless provide interesting cross-references to the meanings & origins of the words alphabetically listed in this volume. To the front is a six-page prefatory note by the author & a copy of his letter to the editor of the Glasgow Herald.
