The Poetical Works of Lord Byron

Description

Hardback. 924pp. Quarter bound with vellum to spine decorated with gilt trailing leaves design with two red roses all in an Art Nouveau style. Gilt ruled compartments and red leather label and gilt titles also to spine. Red cloth to boards. Gilt to top edge. Vellum is slightly darkened and rather dust marked with faint spotting also. Hinges and joints are in very good condition. Cloth has some slight darkening to edges on the upper board and the cloth to the lower has some patches of colour loss and bleed showing as some faint pink marks to edge of the vellum and a row of paler marks to the top edge of the cloth. Internally there is a short tear to lower edge of title page and a hint of tanning to very edges of margins else very clean, bright and neat. Still an attractive copy of Byron’s works.
